I have been in Massachusetts my whole life and I don't think it will stay like that. My story would be to boring if I never changed the setting. Yet Boston is a great place for what I would like to eventually do one day. I would love to entertain one way or another with stories. Creating a universe for a comic, movie or a game for the world to enjoy. It's scary to think of the challenges but having people wondering what is going to happen next or if two characters will get together is exciting.
It would make me happy knowing people took something from what I created and enjoyed it. Being remembered as a good, creative writer would be nice but I would want more. I like thinking that people would say nice things. That I try to help as much as I possibly can. That is what I plan to do with my days because I always liked the golden rule they teach in schools at such a young age. Do onto others as you want done to you. I want my loved ones to be proud of the person I have grown to be.
In Memory
Here lies a man
who tried to be his best self
Always trying
to give his help
We remember
not as he died
But as he lived
and thrived
With his burdens on his shoulders
his hair grayed as he got older
Even in the darkest of times
he did his best for his family to survive.
We do not remember him in his death
We remember how alive he was with breath.
For life has twist and turns
for the past yearns
James,
ReplyDeleteGreat epitaph. I think it just needs one more couplet to finish out the ending, as it seems to end off the rhyme scheme.
Good writing. Simple solid.
Again... try to think of coloring in your life ideas now. You want to write, but you're still trying to figure out how, where, when... will it be books or games? Start to narrow your scope that you can zero in on a your genre. Without that, it will be very hard for you to start this path. Professional writers need to be extremely disciplined - writing every day. That is impossible for most people who want to write.
So start now. Start simple. Have you ever written flash fiction? See if you can take a course in it. Start to really journal for yourself. Keep it regular.
Write everyday, and you will be on your way.
